When we first launched Kaoba, we set out with a bold vision: to create a sustainable, flavourful alternative to sugary sodas. Three months in, we’re thrilled to reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made and we’re just getting started.
Breaking New Ground in the UK Beverage Market
One of our most exciting milestones came early on when we were featured in The Grocer as the first UK cacaofruit soda company. This recognition helped us gain significant visibility, reaching a wide audience of retailers and consumers. Since then, we’ve been featured in various trade publications and newspapers, all of which have contributed to the growing awareness of our brand.
Our journey has been made even more exciting with the support of three incredible investors who believe in Kaoba’s potential and its commitment to sustainability. Their partnership has helped fuel our expansion and push our vision forward.
Building a Strong Retail Presence
We’ve made significant strides in building a presence across the UK. Today, Kaoba is stocked in over 150 locations, including coffee shops, gyms, restaurants and specialty retailers. With each retail outlet we add, we continue to introduce people to the refreshing, unique taste of Kaoba and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, we regularly sell out in most of our retail outlets, a clear sign that the demand for sustainable, great-tasting beverages is growing.
The Power of Cacaofruit: A Journey of Education and Discovery
Educating people about what cacaofruit is and why it’s such a valuable ingredient has been one of our biggest challenges. Many aren’t familiar with the superfruit, so we’ve worked hard to tell its story, from how it’s traditionally discarded in the cacao industry to how Kaoba uses it to create a refreshing, zero-waste drink. Once people try Kaoba, they’re hooked, leading to repeat purchases and a growing loyal customer base. The success of our brand is a testament to the power of trying something new and the demand for more sustainable beverage options.
