We’re excited to share a huge milestone in the Kaoba journey: we’ve officially launched a new production facility in Germany.

While Kaoba is still proudly UK-based and rooted in the community that first embraced us, demand for our cacaofruit soda has grown far beyond what we could have imagined. After our feature on Sorted Food, we received thousands of requests from across the globe. To keep up with that incredible demand — and to make sure more people can enjoy the refreshing taste of cacaofruit, we’re expanding production into mainland Europe.

Why Germany?

Germany offers us the perfect base to scale faster and maintain consistent supply across Europe and beyond. By producing closer to our new international markets, we can reduce transport miles, stay true to our sustainability mission, and get Kaoba into more hands, more quickly.

Why Everyone Loves Kaoba

From day one, people have been surprised and delighted by the taste of cacaofruit. Unlike chocolate, the fruit is light, tropical, and refreshing, perfect on its own, or as a mixer for cocktails and mocktails. Customers describe it as lychee-meets-lime, a flavour that’s both new and familiar.

Kaoba is also as clean as it gets: just two ingredients - cacaofruit juice and water. No added sugar, no preservatives, no gums, no artificial anything. It’s refreshment, stripped back to its purest form.

What’s Next

Our UK roots remain strong. Kaoba will continue to grow in coffee shops, restaurants, gyms, and retail across Britain. With our new production site in Germany, we can finally answer the international calls we’ve been receiving since day one.

Kaoba’s mission is simple: take something once discarded, the fruit of the cacao pod, and transform it into a drink that’s good for people, good for farmers, and good for the planet. With this expansion, that mission now extends across Europe.
