Holding the Light: Resilience on the Shores of Dubai

Holding the Light: Resilience on the Shores of Dubai

In the unsettled days following the recent attacks in Dubai, images began to arrive that felt defiant. Infact, they shocked us.

They were not just images of smoke or sirens, nor of headlines scrolling across illuminated screens. They were photographs of ordinary people on the beach holding a drink and enjoying themselves.

In sending those photographs, customers were not minimising what had occurred. They were asserting something older than conflict: that life, even when unsettled, insists on being lived.

Resilience is strongest when it is collective.

In uncertain times, we should all stick together and try to smile in the face of adversity.

We see you and we appreciate all of you.
